A continuation in existential inquiry, Inception carries ideas of our primordial origins. These figural cocoons abstract the human form bringing a likeness to those found in nature. Color and form imply the presence of blood and movement with the figures gathering in mass as they hang suspended from their mooring. A wool sheath simulates the nurturing environment of a generous womb.
A variety of environments can accommodate this felted installation. Much in the same way that context greatly dictates outcome, each setting affects the figures in its particular manner. With each new scenario is a new birth.
